El Camino College pitcher Jimmy Galicia added some more postseason accolades as he was selected to the American Baseball Coaches' Association Pacific Association Southern California All-Region Second Team, it was announced this week.
Galicia earned a spot on the second team, adding to his honors after a stellar freshman campaign with the Warriors. He received CCCAA All-State honors this week and also nabbed an All South Coast Conference First Team selection.
Galicia anchored the Warriors pitching staff as the team's top starter. The freshman appeared in 18 games this season, making 16 starts and going 13-3 with one save. He posted 83 strikeouts and a 1.92 ERA in 122 innings pitched this season.
The Warriors finished the 2019 season as the CCCAA State Runners-Up for just the second time in program history and first since 1951. They advanced to the CCCAA State Final Four for the second time in the last three seasons.
The team posted a 40-win season and secured the program's fifth conference title in program history.
