LONG BEACH, Calif. - No.8 El Camino College continued their strong week with a 10-2 victory over Long Beach City College on the road on Thursday afternoon.

The Warriors (21-6, 13-2) have won their fifth straight game and fourth game in a row for the week.

The pitching staff gave up their first run in over 25 innings pitched.  Elizabeth Cortez picked up her 8th win of the season after tossing one scoreless inning.  Jocelyn Hernandez pitched one inning and Mina Nakawake made her pitching debut with the final three innings of the game to earn the save.

Diamond Lewis, Mina Nakawake, and Marissa Garza each had multi-hit games for the Warriors.  Lewis and Garza both hit home runs in the contest.

The Warriors put up six runs in the first two innings of the game to build an insurmountable lead.  They added one run in the third before scoring three more in the fifth inning to ensure the game would end by the fifth inning.

El Camino will face Long Beach one more time this season.  They will square off at home on April 16th.
