El Camino College Hall of Fame Committee Announces Class of 2025
TORRANCE, Calif. --- The El Camino College Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announce the induction of the 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Class, which will be inducted on May 29, 2025 on the campus of ECC.
The 13 individual inductees this year exemplified what it means to be a member of the Warriors during their time at El Camino College. The inductees span eight sports and more than 40 years of excellence on the field of play along with meritorious service for the athletics program.
The ceremony will be held at the Athletics Multi-Purpose Room inside the ECC Gym Complex (GYM 216) with doors opening at 5 p.m. for a social hour. Dinner and the presentation will begin at 6 p.m.

The 32nd class of the ECC Athletics Hall of Fame is:
- Toiya Barnes (Track & Field; 1986): Barnes is one of the more accomplished field athletes in school history. She won the 1986 Southern California and State Championship in the discus with a throw of 151 feet, 11 inches. It set the school record which still stands to the present day. Barnes is also third all-time at ECC in the shot put (44 feet, 6.25 inches) and the javelin (149 feet, 11 inches). Barnes would go on to transfer to the University of Nebraska where she graduated with bachelor of arts in sociology. She was named an indoor NCAA All-American in 1988.
- Antonio Chatman (Football, 1997-98): Chatman was named a J.C. All-American as a sophomore in 1998. He is currently ranked fourth in the ECC record books in career punt return yards and sixth in single-season punt return yards. He earned a scholarship to the University of Cincinnati and earned a nod to the All-Conference USA First Team. Chatman would go on to play in the Arena Football League from 2002-03 where he set the AFL record for all-purpose yards. In 2003, he signed with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League where he played for three seasons. He would also play for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2006-09. He finished his NFL career with 114 catches for 1,160 yards and seven touchdowns to go along with 1,207 punt return yards on 157 returns.
- Kristi (Blankenship) Copeland (Women's Soccer; 1990-93): Copeland was a member of the 1990 state championship team. The Warriors' defender scored the first goal of the state title game against Santa Rosa, her only tally of the season. The Warriors would go on to win 3-1 and claim the first state title of the modern era in women's soccer. She was named First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State as a freshman. In addition to playing soccer, she was also a member of the women's volleyball team while at ECC. She would go on to become a member of UCLA's first ever women's soccer team in 1993.
- Keith Davis (Track & Field; 2000, 2002): Davis won the Southern California and 3C2A State Championship in the 400m intermediate hurdles in both 2000 and 2002. Davis also currently ranks fourth in ECC history with a time of 51.43 in the 400 intermediate hurdles. Davis would go on to compete at the 2004 Olympic trials in the event.
- Tim Drevno (Football; 1987-88): An integral member of the 1987 National Championship Football Team. He was named to the All-Mission Conference Team in 1988, the same year he was named the top offensive linemen for ECC. He would receive a scholarship to play at Cal State Fullerton where he was a two-year starter on the offensive line. Following his playing career, Drevno has gone on to be a renowned coach at a number of top-tier collegiate programs including Stanford, USC, UCLA and Michigan. He is currently on the coaching staff at Ohio State where he was a member of the 2025 National Championship squad. In addition to his collegiate success, Drevno was also a member of the coaching staff for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-13 and was a member of the Super Bowl 47 champions.
- Martina Exlerova (Swimming; 2014-15): Exlerova set individual records in the 50 freestyle (24.24) and 100 backstroke (59.50), which stood for 10 years before both were broken in 2024. Exlerova was also a member of the 200 and 400 medley relay teams along with the 400 free relay team that set new ECC records at the time, which were also all broken in 2024. Overall, Exelrova holds a spot in the top-15 of the ECC record book in nine events.
- Brian Flowers (Football; 2004-05): The Warriors all-time single season rushing leader, Flowers set the standard for ECC running backs in 2005 as he ran for 1,557 yards on 241 attempts, a record that has stood for 20 years and counting. He is also ranked second on the all-time career list for ECC backs with 2,320 yards on 403 carries and is tied for third all-time with 22 rushing touchdowns. Flowers earned All-Mission Conference honors and J.C. All-American honors in 2005. He would go on to earn a full scholarship to the University of Idaho where he was the starting running back for two seasons. He rushed for 995 yards with six touchdowns and also posted 23 catches for 214 receiving yards.
- Beverly Hazell (Women's Volleyball, 2004-06): Hazell was a First-Team All American and made the 3C2A State Championship All-Tournament Team in 2005 after averaging 5.9 digs per set in the tournament. She also still holds the current record for most kills in a match at the state tournament when she tallied 33 against West Valley in 2005. The Warriors were a combined 40-4 overall and 23-1 in conference play in the two years Hazell was on the team. Hazell was recruited by SUNY Albany before transferring and finishing her volleyball career at Cal State East Bay.
- Elizabeth Hazell (Women's Volleyball, 2000-01): Hazell made the All-SCC Second Team in her freshman season and then grabbed more accolades as a sophomore, earning All-SCC MVP honors along with 3C2A All-State and All-Region honors. She was named the ECC Athlete of the Year in 2001 when the Warriors finished fourth at the 3C2A State Championships. Following ECC, Hazell transferred to Cal State Hayward (Now known as CSU East Bay) where she was a two-time All-Western Region selection and All-American Honorable Mention. She still sits in the top-10 of the CSU East Bay record books in aces despite playing just two seasons. Hazell returned to ECC in 2005 as an assistant coach for the women's volleyball team and currently serves as the head coach of the program since 2017. The Warriors have won three conference titles and have made two state championship appearances in during her current tenure.
- Ontario Johnson (Men's Basketball, 1983-84): Johnson was the Metro Conference Player of the Year and was also named the 3C2A State Player of the Year. He helped lead the Warriors to the state championship semifinals while playing at ECC. Johnson would transfer to San Jose State University where he led the team in assists in his senior year. Johnson was recognized as one of ECC's Top-75 athletes of all time during the school's 75h anniversary celebration in 2022.
- Omarr Morgan (Football, 1994-95): Morgan was a two-time All-Mission Conference selection and two-time All-American in his time at ECC. He is currently tied for fifth place on the ECC All-Time list for career interceptions, hauling in nine picks in his Warriors career. Morgan would earn a full scholarship to Brigham Young University where he was named First Team All-WAC in 1997 and was voted BYU's defensive player of the year. In the 1997 Cotton Bowl against Colorado, Morgan made the game-clinching interception at the 4-yard line with less than a minute left in regulation, cementing a 19-15 victory for the Cougars as they finished the year 13-1 overall. Morgan was a candidate for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the nation's top collegiate defensive back. He would go on to play 10 years in the Canadian Football League. He made the CFL All-Star Team in 2002-03 and 2005.
- Shannon Murphy (Softball, 2000-01): Murphy was an All-Conference selection in 2001 and named the team MVP. Murphy was named one of ECC's Top-75 athletes of all time during the school's 75th anniversary celebration in 2022. She would go on to transfer to Dakota State University where she was named the team's defensive player of the year. Murphy still sits in a tie for fourth place for most assists in a season (107, 2003).
- Ivan Wilson (Football, 1990, 1992): Wilson was the team co-MVP in 1992 and earned All-Conference and All-American honors in his sophomore year. He currently holds the record for most points scored in a game by an individual (36) and most rushing touchdowns in a single game (6). He is currently ranked fourth on the ECC All-Time list for most rushing yards in a season (1,199) and first in total rushing TDs in a single year (21). He was also a menace on special teams as he ranks first in ECC history in average yards per punt return in both a career and single season (26.2). He would go on to transfer to Sonoma State after his time at ECC.
