Bio
Hazell made the All-SCC Second Team in her freshman season and then grabbed more accolades as a sophomore, earning All-SCC MVP honors along with 3C2A All-State and All-Region honors. She was named the ECC Athlete of the Year in 2001 when the Warriors finished fourth at the 3C2A State Championships. Following ECC, Hazell transferred to Cal State Hayward (Now known as CSU East Bay) where she was a two-time All-Western Region selection and All-American Honorable Mention. She still sits in the top-10 of the CSU East Bay record books in aces despite playing just two seasons. Hazell returned to ECC in 2005 as an assistant coach for the women’s volleyball team and currently serves as the head coach of the program since 2017. The Warriors have won three conference titles and have made two state championship appearances in during her current tenure.
