Bio

Crystal Lizaola Acerboni was a standout for the Warriors for two seasons and made her mark in the ECC history books. She is the No. 3 All-Time performer in the 400m hurdles with a time of 60.20. She’s also No. 8 All-Time in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.68. As a freshman at ECC, she was amongst the state leaders in the 400m, 800m, 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay events. In her sophomore season, Lizazola-Acerboni was ranked No. 2 in the United States Junior College ranks in the 400m hurdles as she won the South Coast Conference, Southern Calfornia and 3C2A State Championship in the event. She was named the 2014 South Coast Conference Athlete of the Year and the 2014 ECC Female Athlete of the Year. She would go on to transfer to UC Irvine where she continued to compete in her junior and senior years. As a senior she was a finalist for the Big West Conference Championships in the 400m hurdles and finished fourth in the event. She also claimed the individual title in the 400m hurdles at the Ben Brown Invitational hosted by Cal State Fullerton. Her 60.69 finish at the Beach Invitational in the event ranked ninth all-time in UCI history. She would also be a member of the 4x400 relay team that set a new school record with a time of 3:42.57 at the Big West Championships.
