Bio

Victoria Garcia was a key piece that turned the Warriors softball team into a perennial contender since the 2015 season, her sophomore year. In 2015, Garcia helped lead the Warriors to their second South Coast Conference title in program history and first since 1989. Garcia was the first Warriors player ever to win one of the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association’s major awards as she earned the Golden Shoe Award, given to the best baserunner in the game. She stole 42 bases in 46 attempts, which set and remains a Warriors record in a single season. In addition, she was named to the 3C2A All-State Team along with her second straight All-SCC First Team selection in 2015. Garcia currently holds the all-time ECC record for batting average in a season (.514, 2014) and is the only player to ever finish the season with a .500 batting average or better. She’s also ranked third in hits in a single season (65, 2015) and second in career hits (122) and career total bases (182). Garcia went on to compete at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo where she played in 47 games and batted .329 with 52 hits, 17 doubles, four home runs and 36 RBIs in 2016.
