Miranda Nets Week One Player of the Week Award

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomore kicker Christian Miranda was named the Southern California Football Association Special Teams/All-Purpose Player of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.

Miranda was perfect on the night with the leg, going 2-for-2 on field goals of 24 and 29 yards. He was also 4-for-4 on extra points to rack up 10 points total in a 68-6 win over Santa Barbara. He also averaged 56.5 yards per kickoff, racking up 565 yards of distance with just one touchback in 10 kickoffs.

The Warriors were dominant in week one as they amassed 677 total yards on offense and allowed just one touchdown in a rout of Santa Barbara.

The Warriors will return to action on Saturday night at home against College of the Canyons with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
