Bias Earns SCFA Player of the Week Honors

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomore Damonte Bias was named the Southern California Football Association Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.
Bias erupted for 266 rushing yards on 22 carries to break Delvon Flowers' 27-year-old single-game rushing record of 263 set on October 10, 1998. Bias averaged 12.1 yards a carry and recorded more yards than his previous two career highs (115, 118) combined on Saturday night.
He recorded a 57-yard touchdown run and also broke off a 62-yard run and a 54-yard scamper during Saturday's victory.
Bias has currently rushed for 624 yards on 70 carries and is averaging 8.9 yards per attempt. He's stepped it up in league play with 476 rushing yards on 58 carries and is averaging 119 rush yards per league game.
The Warriors are currently ranked No. 8 in the state and are in a tie for first place with No. 10 Saddleback in the National Southern League and will head to No. 12 Southwestern on Saturday.
