Henry, Hikichi Notch Top-10 Finishes at El Prado Golf Club

CHINO, Calif. --- Freshman Aden Henry and sophomore Kevin Hikichi each posted a top-10 finish on Wednesday as El Camino College competed at the Orange Empire Conference match hosted by Mount San Antonio at El Prado Golf Club in Chino, Calif.

Henry recorded the lowest score by a Warriors golfer on the season, posting a 2-over 74. He tied for eighth place to record his second straight top-10 finish.

Hikichi posted his best score of the season as he carded a 3-over 75 to finish 10th overall in the 54-golfer field. It is the first time this season that two Warriors have placed in the top-10 in any tournament this season.

Zach Carlson and Ethan Keusch of Cuyamaca split medalist honors as they each carded a 2-under 70, helping propel the team to a first-place finish overall with a 12-over 372.

Mason Montgomery of College of the Desert was the only other player to score under par, posting a 1-under 71. Cory Rose of Victor Valley shot an even-par round of 72 for fourth place with three players tying for fifth at 73.

In the team standings, College of the Desert (378) and Cypress (385) rounded out the top three.

The Warriors will return to action on Monday, April 7 at Steele Canyon Golf Course for the next OEC match hosted by Cuyamaca. The team will play the Ranch and Canyon Courses with the first group scheduled to tee off at 11 a.m.
