No. 6 El Camino College continued to roll Tuesday afternoon with a 4-1 victory over L.A. Harbor on the road to begin South Coast Conference play.

The Warriors (8-0-1) continued their longest unbeaten start to a season in recorded history with another offensive barrage, getting four goals from four different scorers.

Defensively, the Warriors continued to be stingy as the only goal they allowed came on a penalty kick. In nine matches this season, all three goals the Warriors have allowed have come on penalty kicks.

On Tuesday, Melvyn Perez-Cortez opened the scoring for the Warriors as he deposited a free kick into the back of the net in the 10th minute of action.

In the 30th minute, Jonathan Guardado scored what would be the game-winning goal with Larry Lopez nabbing the assist on the goal.

Oliver Diaz and Ricardo Martin would each add a goal with assists from Perez-Cortez and Mario Perez respectively to put the match away.

The Warriors will return home Friday afternoon for the first time since Sept. 10 and they will have a big test as they take on Cerritos, the No. 1 team in the state and No. 4 in the nation according the United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Warriors entered the week ranked No. 7 nationally according to the same poll. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
