Gamez Invited to LAFC Combine
TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College sophomore Marvin Gamez has been invited to the LAFC combine, which takes place today and Tuesday, Dec. 17.
Gamez received an invite from the Major League Soccer (MLS) club, identifying the Warriors' top scorer as one of the best athletes at any level in the entire country.
"The LAFC scouting department scouts the entire country at both the collegiate and professional level to identify athletes to attend the combine," Warriors head coach Michael Jacobson said. " This invitation is an indicator of the best talent in the nation coming together for a chance to make it in the MLS and we are thrilled that Marvin is one of the athletes privileged to receive the invite."
Gamez played two years for the Warriors and scored 38 goals with 20 assists in 43 career matches. He was a two-time South Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a two-time United Soccer Coaches' All-American and All-Region selection. He is currently tied atop the ECC record books for the most goals in a single season after he recorded 28 goals in 2024, tying ECC legend John Britton.
He was also named the USC National Player of the Year in 2024 and spent time with the LAFC Academy from 2019-22.
