Ramirez Named Pitcher of the Year, Earns Gold Glove Award

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- Sophomore Lexi Ramirez was named the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association Cal-JC Pitcher of the Year, it was announced Thursday.
In addition, Ramirez was also named a recipient of the 2025 NFCA Cal-JC Rawlings Gold Glove Award as a pitcher.
Ramirez becomes the first Warriors player to ever be named the NFCA Pitcher of the Year and second player to earn a gold glove award. Teammate Anahi Pintado was the first Warriors player to ever receive a gold glove in 2024 as a left fielder.
Ramirez is also the second player in Warriors history to receive one of the NFCA's major seasonal awards. Tori Garcia won the NFCA Cal-JC Golden Shoe Award in 2015 for being the top baserunner in the state.
This season, Ramirez has cemented herself as one of the greatest pitchers in the history of the ECC softball program.
She currently holds a 28-7 overall record with a 1.20 ERA in 32 starts. She has recorded 26 complete games and 11 shutouts. Batters are also hitting just .171 against her and she has logged 198 strikeouts going into this weekend's 3C2A State Championships.
Defensively, Ramirez has a .969 fielding percentage, committing just four errors on the season. She is third on the team with 127 total chances and leads the Warriors with 75 assists.
The Warriors will being their quest for the first state championship in program history later today against West Valley at 5 p.m.
