TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College pulled out a 3-1 non-conference win over San Diego Mesa on Thursday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.

The Warriors got two runs in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and that proved to be the difference. Kate Pedroza provided the go-ahead sacrifice fly and then Trinity Martinez singled in a run to provide the insurance.

Martinez would finish the day 2-for-3 at the plate with a walk to lead the Warriors offense.

Estrella Tapia was stellar in the circle as she pitched a complete game. She allowed just one run on six hits, walked one and struck out three en route to her sixth win of the season in the circle.

Miranda Morelos was 1-for-2 with a double and Sophia Munguia was also 1-for-2 with a triple and scored the go-ahead run in the sixth.

The Warriors will finish off the week on Saturday with a doubleheader scheduled against Santa Ana beginning at 11:30 a.m.
