Softball Falls to Cerritos in Final Conference Home Game

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 12-3 South Coast Conference loss to Cerritos on Friday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.
Miranda Morelos went 2-for-3 with an RBI with Emily Gamboa, Gabby Merced and Trinity Martinez providing the other three hits for ECC in the loss.
The Warriors took an early 2-0 lead in the second on an RBI single by Gamboa followed by Martinez taking home on a double steal attempt.
But the Falcons scored 10 runs in the next three innings and never looked back to take the victory.
The Warriors will be right back to work on Saturday as they host their final two home games of the 2026 regular season with a doubleheader against Bakersfield. First pitch for game one is set for noon while game two is slated to start at 2 p.m.
