Swim Splits Dual Meet Against Rio Hondo, Long Beach

WHITTIER, Calif. --- The El Camino College swim team split its South Coast Conference dual match against Rio Hondo and Long Beach at Rio Hondo College.

The Warriors' men's team defeated Rio Hondo 200-50 and lost to Long Beach 195-76 while the women's team beat the Roadrunners 145-32 and lost to the Vikings 197-58.

Highlights from the meet included:

• Olivia Mozian posted a time of 2:29.31 in the 200 backstroke to place 14th on the ECC All-Time list. She finished second in the event. She also won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:29.55 and placed third in the 200 freestyle (2:14.56).
• Iyanah Samayoa scored wins in the 50 free (26.20), 500 free (5:35.65) and was a member of the 200 medley relay team (2:02.17) and 400 free relay team (4:08.43), which both finished in second.
• Alyssa Mack placed second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:13.13.
• Vincenzo Crivello scored wins in the 1000 free (11:20.94) and the 50 free (23.71).
• Ryan Song scored victories in the 100 breastroke (1:04.06) and the 100 free (50.53).
• Brayden Sanchez finished first in the 100 back (1:05.00).
• Angel Byrne placed first in the 200 fly (2:22.92).

The Warriors will return to action on Friday with another SCC Dual Meet against East Los Angeles at the ECC Aquatics Center.
