Six Athletes Qualify for Regional Finals

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. --- El Camino College had six athletes advances to the finals of the 3C2A Southern California Championships hosted at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Calif.

Tilliana Wakefield-Carl (3.40m) and Valentina Amescua (2.65m) both qualified for the women's pole vault, finishing third and seventh respectively in the qualifying round.

The Warriors also had a pair of athletes move on in the 5,000m with Aaron Cohen advancing in the men's event with Arianna Hurtado qualifying on the women's front.

Angelos Sarreas qualified in the javelin with Laighton Scott moving on in the discus.

The 3C2A Southern California Championships will conclude with the finals on Saturday, May 10 at Saddleback College.
