TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College scored nine times in the opening period and never looked back en route to a 19-7 South Coast Conference victory over Rio Hondo on Wednesday afternoon at the ECC Aquatics Center.
The Warriors scored seven times before the Roadrunners ever managed to score and led 9-2 after one period, which proved to be more than enough to secure the win.
Savanna Kastigar, Olivia Mozian and Alyssa Mack all scored three goals to lead the Warriors onslaught. Six players scored multiple goals and Iyanah Samayoa led the team with three assists in the victory.
Katrina Sanchez made seven saves and netted the victory in the cage while playing two periods with Carleigh Clark adding six saves in two periods of work.
The Warriors will face Las Positas on Friday at Santa Monica College with the match set to begin at 11:20 a.m.
