Pineda Tosses Complete Game as Warriors Take Series against East Los Angeles

TORRANCE, Calif. - The Warriors baseball team defeated East Los Angeles 3-1 on Thursday at Warrior Field to clinch the series.
The Warriors improved to 30-6 overall for the season, the second straight 30 win season under head coach Grant Palmer.
Adrian Pineda went the distance for the first time in his career, allowing just one run on three hits, with three walks and nine strikeouts. It was the first complete-game victory by a Warriors pitcher since Jason Davis on April 2nd, 2024 at Rio Hondo.
The Warriors had nine hits for the day led by Nathan Rivera going 3-for-4 at the dish. Kai Nagashima also had two hits for the day.
The Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the third inning. Nolan Fox doubled to center and went to third on a wild pitch. Nathan Rivera doubled him to bring the first run of the game.
The Huskies tied the game in the fifth inning. After a two out walk by Alex Sotelo, Sotelo stole second base. He came around to score on a single by Damian Gonzalez but the Warriors defense got out of the inning after tagging Gonzalez out as he tried to take second on the play.
The Warriors loaded the bases to start the fifth inning. Nagashima had a knock down the right field line and Nolan Fox was hit by a pitch. Nathan Rivera had a bunt single and the pitcher airmailed the ball past the first basemen and Nagashima scored on the play. Slater Nunez brought in Nolan Fox the next at-bat on a sac fly to make it 3-1.
The Warriors wrap up the series against the Huskies on Saturday at ELAC. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
