Pineda, Nunez and O’Neil Earn All-State, All-Region Honors

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomores Adrian Pineda, Slater Nunez and Cameron O'Neil earned postseason honors from the California Community College Baseball Coaches' Association, it was announced Thursday.
Pineda was named to the CCCBCA All-State Team and was named the Southern California Pitcher of the Year with Nunez earning All-State honors and the Southern California Two-Way Player of the Year. O'Neil earned All-Region honors as a pitcher.
Pineda led the South Coast Conference with 90 strikeouts in 2026 and was ninth overall in the state. He had the third-most strikeouts in Southern California as he made 14 starts for the Warriors and posted an 8-1 overall record with a 1.95 ERA. He was second on the Warriors with 87.2 innings pitched and allowed just 61 hits with opponents hitting .195 against him this season.
Nunez, who was named the SCC Player of the Year, led the Warriors with a .364 batting average as he posted 63 hits to lead the team. He was the only Warriors player with a slugging percentage over .600 (.613) and also led the team with a .455 on-base percentage amongst players with at least 70 at-bats. In addition, Nunez made 12 appearances on the mound out of the bullpen, logging six saves. He struck out 16 batters and posted a 2-2 overall record on the bump.
O'Neil led the Warriors and was third overall in the state with 11 wins on the mound this season. He went 11-2 overall in 14 pitching appearances. He pitched 79.2 innings and struck out 62 batters during the season. He posted a 3.39 ERA and batters hit .273 against him during the year.
