PALM DESERT, Calif. --- No. 18 El Camino College closed out the 2025 regular season with an 8-2 non-conference road victory at College of the Desert on Thursday afternoon.

The Warriors (28-12) close out the regular season on a seven-game winning streak after the pitching staff put forth an excellent combined effort.

Shin Kaitsuka pitched the first four innings and kept the Roadrunners' offense off balance as he allowed just one hit and two walks while striking out nine. His strikeouts accounted for 75 percent of the 12 outs he recorded on the mound.

Kona Agena picked up the victory with four innings of relief as he allowed one run on six hits and struck out three.

Gavin Grace pitched a scoreless ninth to close out the victory.

Offensively, three players logged multi-hit games on Thursday. Lucas Bonham went 2-for-6 with a double, home run and two runs scored. Dylan Mares was 2-for-3 with a solo homer of his own to go along with two runs scored and two walks.

Mares has eight home runs this season, the most for a Warriors player since Spencer Palmer hit eight bombs in 2018. As a team, the Warriors finish the regular season with 33 home runs, the most since the 2018 hit 36 homers in 47 games including the postseason.

The Warriors will now sit tight and await to find out their opponent and destination for the 3C2A Southern California Baseball Regionals, which begin on Friday, May 2.
